# Zscode

> Zscode will be the Zharness editor, built on VS Code. It is a Zspez product, in planning, and not available yet. There is no pricing.

Ask for it. Watch it pass. In one editor.

You describe the job. Zharness will run a fixed plan, checks and tests, and the AI will write the code. You read, test and change it in the same window. It will run on the local Zharness engine on your computer.

## What it will include
- 60/30/10 engine: a meter will show how each project splits between 60% deterministic code, 30% ICM folders and files (Interpretable Context Methodology, by Van Clief) and 10% agent, with suggestions that move work off the agent.
- 60/30/10 Guide: a side panel beside the editor will explain the step you're on. It will start tucked away and open only when you ask.
- Files and markdown: browse the project tree, including the ICM folders, and write specs in a markdown editor. Files will save as you type.
- Intake and plan: describe the job in plain words; Zharness will split the plan by layer (data, API, UI, tests).
- Stages and Needs you: intake, plan, build, verify, judge, fix. When a choice is yours, the job will stop and ask (Deny or Approve).
- Browser tests: real browser tests with a screenshot for every step. Tests will decide, not the agent.
- Judges and diffs: brand and craft scores against a 9.5 bar, and a diff for every fix round.
- Open it: open the built app in the editor or your own browser. Nothing merges without your OK.

## Local by design
- Talks only to the local Zharness engine
- Open models you run or approve
- Telemetry off by default
- Extensions from Open VSX
- No Microsoft branding, marketplace or models

## Where it stands
The Zharness engine comes first. Zscode work starts when the engine passes end to end.
